Faced with the threat of losing my best friend if I didn't write a blog or an email I have momentarily returned to my post behind this keyboard to tap out a blog. I have the luxury of being able to do this today as I am currently on time off work to study for my uni exams. That's right, assignments are all now over, and all I have left is four 2-to-2-and-a-half hour blocks of writing and colouring in circles between now and being finished for the semester. Halleluiah! The first of these exams is tomorrow night so I won't linger here long. I have about a semester's worth of content to absorb between now and then.

Despite my lack of blogging (and maybe the cause of it too) heaps has been happening in my life recently. Work is going really well: I just returned from a free travel trip as part of work. T'was much fun! A group of other journalists and I rode the tilt train up to Bundaberg and then made our way down the coast to Caloundra, doing many touristy things on the way. It was a packed couple of days but was just grand. I have plenty to write about it when I get back to work, that's for sure!

The other exciting thing to happen to me recently is that I, to put it very teenage-girly-ly, now have a boyfriend. That's right, after nearly four years of uncertainty, James Bond, otherwise known as Matthew, and I are officially together. This is really exciting and I'm so happy with him! Woohoo!

Well I hope this redeems my friendship status with Trina... I hope I actually get to see you in the flesh sometime though! Soon would be good. *sigh*

Ooh and I also bought pretty shoes yesterday. Yaay!

Hey Teegs,

Yay for you! New boyfriend (or not so new as your previous post suggests), job perks and nice shoes. If we forget about the whole exam thing, sounds like life is pretty damned good for you. I suppose exams are just like vegetables - you may not like them, but you know they're good for you (although this is a poor similie as I LOVE vegies)

I'm glad that things have worked out for you and Mr Bond. It makes all the missing and longing worthwhile. You deserve the best and it sounds like that's what you're getting. I've got all the missing and longing without a light at the end of the tunnel at the moment, but it's just something I have to go through. Stupid emotions

Best of luck for your exams,

Suz xxx

Hey Suz darling!

Thanks for your well wishes. Even the exams aren't entirely unwelcome coz I know as soon as they're done uni is all but finished for me forever!! Only two subjects to go, and I don't even have to think about them until March next year.

Between your comment here and your forlorn-sounding post on third dates I am compelled to send you all the good-luck-in-love-hang-in-there-when-he-arrives-he'll-be-perfect vibes I can muster, along with a couple of vibes of the kick-any-weirdos-who-come-near-you-in-the-head-it's-a-good-stress-relief variety. You're worth the wait baby! (for your man that is, and if he can't see that then maybe he needs a sharp kick to the head too)

You're the best, honey. Made me giggle, big time!

Best of luck (again) and keep us posted on how the exams all went.

Love and sunshine,
